Pilgrimage Ends in Balighai, Not Delhi

Dear Pilgrims,

Humble pranams to all of you embarking on this special journey.

This is an update to make certain that all pilgrims know that our pilgrimage together officially ends at our Hariharananda Gurukulam Ashram in Balighai on the evening of November 30, 2011. If your international airline travel has you returning to your home from Delhi, please know that Delhi is not near Balighai and you must make your own flight arrangements back to Delhi for your return travel home. This is true even if you are staying in Balighai for Gurudev's Mahasamadhi Program.

This is how to get from our ashram in Balighai to the New Delhi international airport:

1) When you are at our ashram (and not before, per their request), ask a Brahmachari at the office to book a taxi for you to the Bhubaneswar Airport. This is the nearest airport, about 1-1/2 to 2 hours from our ashram. Ride sharing may be available based on your time of departure.

2) Take a two-hour flight to the New Delhi airport. You must make your own arrangements for this flight to New Delhi. This is not included in the pilgrimage.

Some of the India airlines that offer flights between Bhubaneswar and New Delhi include Air India, Indigo, and Kingfisher Airlines. If you need assistance booking a flight from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi you may contact our kriyavan travel agent in Delhi by e-mail:

Subhasis Patnaik
Director, SOHAM TOURS

To reiterate, our pilgrimage ends in Balighai, which is a 1-1/2 to 2 hour taxi ride to the nearest airport in Bhubaneswar, which is a 2 to 3-1/2 hour flight to New Delhi. If your international return flight home departs from the New Delhi international airport, you must make your own arrangements from Balighai to New Delhi. Note that if you have an international flight out of Delhi that leaves in the morning hours, you will have to fly from Bhubaneswar the afternoon or evening before. E-mail Subhasis Baba with your flight details for more information.

In loving service,
The pilgrimage team
